Drummer Jussi Lehtonen has led this quartet for three years, and they have released two records; Live at Koko Jazz Club (2018) and Connection (2020), which was nominated for the best Jazz Album of 2021 in Finland. The line-up consists of Joonatan Rautio on saxophone, Holger Marjamaa on piano and Heikko Remmel on bass.
“The name of the latest album refers to a musical connection that I feel very strong with all these musicians. All of us understand and hear things with a certain sensitivity, and are able to react to things quickly. Mastery of the musical language and tremendous craftsmanship provide excellent opportunities for a swinging ensemble!
